A World Premiere
Co-produced with Union Cemetery Historical Society
Electric Poe
Performed at Union Cemetery
By Edgar Allan Poe
Adapted by Coterie Artistic Director, Jeff Church
Composed by Rex Hobart

  • Socially-distanced audiences will see a classically trained actor and an electric guitarist bring to life (and death) two classic stories by Edgar Allan Poe: The Premature Burial and The Masque of the Red Death.
  • This show overflows with poetry, riffs, ghosts, and morbid prose floating in an atmospheric setting, staged at “the holding vault,” not far from the entrance gate of Kansas City’s Union Cemetery.
  • Electric Poe is available to schools through our Classroom Immersions. Contact Annette Filippi at 816.474.4241 to book your Immersion or for more information.
